Production - Biologics Process Operator
Job Description:
The primary role of the candidate is working on assignments that train for proficiency in the operation of primary production equipment including adherence to detailed procedures and batch records ensuring compliance with cGMP and safety requirementsWork is performed in a team environment within a medium-scale biologics manufacturing facility with classified areas requiring appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)Additional gowning through the processing areas and maintaining clean hygiene is a requirement to control established environmental specificationsPrepares process buffers and reagentsCleans equipment and maintain area in clean and orderly fashionRecognizes and reports safety, maintenance and operational variances to area managementCommunicates status of operations to area management in a timely mannerFollows detailed SOP's and batch recordsEnsures compliance with cGMP and safety requirementsMaintains files, records and equipmentRecords data, logs activities and monitors processesAchieves and maintains proficiency through training
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a high school diplomaKnowledge of science generally attained through studies resulting in a B.
Sin science, engineering, biochemistry, or related discipline or its equivalent is desired but not requiredPrior job related experience required along with demonstrated mechanical aptitudeFamiliarity with general chemistry, mathematics, microbiology and cGMP clean room operations is a plusthe nature of the position demands keen attention to detailPrior experience following and documenting written instructions is requiredCommitted team player prepared to work in and embrace a team based cultureShift work and overtime requiredSelected candidates will be required to enter a structured training program and successfully complete all modules including Biologics orientation training, general knowledge training and job function training and successfully complete training module evaluations at 1, 3, 6 and 12 month milestonesAdditional Job Requirements:
