INFICON is a fast growing manufacturer of precision instrumentation used in semiconductor, coating, display, environmental health and safety, and HVAC /R and automotive markets. Our Syracuse location is ISO 9001 and 14001 certified that includes a full scope of business activities, including: Quality, Marketing, Sales, Research & Development, Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Production, Repair, Logistics, and Administration. Our manufacturing operation is primarily high mix - low volume with strict adherence to tight tolerances and specifications.
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager will be hands-on and drive strict compliance to our quality management system (QMS) and regulatory requirements. The QA Managers role is to ensure that products and services produced are of high quality and satisfy both internal and external requirements. This includes effective interactions with all departments at all levels to ensure continuity of good quality products and services. The QA Manager must be able to resolve problems, issue and respond to corrective actions and preventative actions, manage nonconforming product, and be the Quality Management System Representative.
Responsibilities:
Manage all phases of Quality programs and/or projects including developing, evaluating, implementing, and monitoring QMS policies, principles and standards, to ensure compliance with customer/product standards and governmental regulatory requirements.
Perform and/or lead location quality audits for deficiency identification and appropriate corrective actions.
Monitor and communicate regulatory changes that impact Company products and processes.
Direct and coordinate an ongoing evaluation of the quality of the companys components, products and services.
Provide timely advice to senior management, including anticipation of customer, product, regulatory, QMS and Quality Assurance (QA) program adaptations.
Lead, manage and align QA programs to meet product quality specifications within desired manufacturing cycle times, yield and cost targets.
Lead, design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conduct quality assurance tests; compile and analyze data using various software products.
Interact on a regular basis with and serve as QMS and QA spokesperson both internally with functional peer groups and location management, as well as with customers and suppliers.
Participate in developing innovative and practical solutions to complex quality issues.
Drive root cause identification and corrective action of purchased components
Supervises Quality Technicians by allocating time and resources efficiently and continually seek ways to improve individual and team performance. Identify quality-related training needs, ensuring they are delivered to appropriate staff on a continuous basis, as required.
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree Business or in technical field such as engineering from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of ten years of progressively greater responsibility in quality systems and assurance roles including three years of leadership and management experience.
In depth knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, CE, RoHS and experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
Must be excellent using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
Proven skills in Statistical Process Control and TQM practice.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Well-developed human relations / people management skills; able to delegate authority and provide guidance, direction, goals, feedback and discipline. Easily able to develop positive working relationships with a wide range of people.
Highly motivated to meet personal, team, and corporate goals.
Innovative problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to make quick and appropriate decisions. Familiar with 8D problem solving methodologies. Proficient at multitasking and prioritizing.
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent service for both internal and external customers.
Demonstrated ability to present in front of large groups that include suppliers, customers, management and employees.
Ability to travel up to 15%, including international.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
Masters degree in Business or in technical field such as engineering from an accredited college or university.
Thorough understanding of quality principles and techniques. CQE/ CQM/ CQA certifications beneficial.
Previous training and/or mentoring experience a plus.
Working knowledge of SAP including SAP QM (Quality Management) module.
Experience and familiarity with automated CMM equipment including optical, laser, and touch probe.
Preferred experience with Lotus Notes, Minitab, WinSPC etc.
Experience in a Six Sigma environment and/or certification Black Belt level preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
