Desktop Support Analyst

Adecco Engineering and Technology has an immediate opening for a Desktop Support Analyst in Syracuse NY.
DESKTOP SUPPORT ANALYSTRequirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years relevant experience.
Will consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-2 years' experience with PC/Departmental LAN's in a customer service role required.
Experience with Windows OS, MS Office and host connectivity packages in a Novell NDS and Windows Server environment.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
Duties and ResponsibilitesDesigns and tests desktop configurationsInstalls new devicesmanages desktop needs to support departmental moves and migrations from existing computersResearches and resolves hardware and software problems as necessaryTroubleshoots connectivity problems with client devices, network printers, file servers and host systemsWorks with Windows 2000/XP/Vista, MS Office, and host connectivity packages in a Novell NDS and Windows Server environmentAssists employees/customers with computer related questionsProvide technical support to include troubleshooting of issues with Dragon, Epic, copy/fax equipment, printers, and telephone systemResponsible for maintaining inventory of computers and printers, and make recommendations for replacement as needed.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
