BROAD FUNCTION:
Responsible for the analytical testing and test method development for a gas chromatograph (GC) product line in our Syracuse facility.
Responsibilities:
buttembly of electrical, precision mechanical, and electromechanical components in accordance with engineering drawings and operational method sheets, using fixtures and alignment tools as required.
Execution of all day to day production testing for the GC product line including final test reports
Design and performance of analytical chemistry experiments and method development
Statistical analysis of data sets
Maintenance of product test specifications and work instructions
buttist with creation and validation of test fixtures
Work collaboratively with Engineering, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction measured through customer on-time delivery and product quality
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related technical field. Recent graduates will need to provide a copy of their transcript as part of the screening and interviewing process.
Excellent communication and problem solving skills, including written, verbal and presentation
Must be able to interact inter-departmentally in a professional manner and work in a team based environment
Ability to listen carefully, respond intelligently and follow-up appropriately
Must be able to lift moderately heavy instruments (40 lbs.)
Must be comfortable using PCs and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Minimal travel (less than 10%)
PREFERRED
Qualifications:

years of working experience in GC, GC/MS preferred
