Responsibilities:
Provide technical assistance for customers and sales personnel for Thin Film products via telephone and email. Some engineers may have product specialization and will be responsible for providing back-up support for non-specialized products.
Provide product training, including giving presentations to customers, sales personnel, at technical conferences, regarding products and applications in conjunction with other Technical Support and Product Marketing personnel.
Develop and/or assist in the creation of appropriate training documentation such as training presentations, user manuals, technical publications and other material. Update content as needed.
Provide technical support, testing and performance evaluations of standard products for new and existing customer applications.
Provide written documentation of laboratory work and equipment evaluations of INFICON's and competitor's instruments.
Manage training and demo inventory and make recommendations to acquire applications equipment, and operate and maintain such equipment and laboratory facilities within budget constraints. This includes the maintaining of appropriate demonstration and training equipment for use in the field by customers and sales personnel.
Provide technical and pricing assistance to Sales Correspondents and Order Services personnel in the preparation of quotations and orders as required.
Provide feedback to INFICON's Product Marketing management on a periodic basis in areas of: Industry technological and economic trends, new applications/product opportunities, competitive activity (product, pricing, etc.) and recommendations for addition and improvements to INFICON sales and technical literature.
Comply with Corporate policies, procedures and standards and government regulations, including all applicable export regulations.
Provide trade show support as required.
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in a technical discipline (Material Sciences, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related science).
Excellent communication skills (oral and written), good organizational skills with ability to work well with others.
Experience with customer support with ability to train customers and sales engineers preferred.
Experience with computers and Microsoft business software and ability to adapt to various field situations.
Experience with optics, vacuum, scientific instrumentation, thin film deposition equipment desired.
Willingness to travel.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
