BROAD FUNCTION:
INFICON is seeking a Finance Manager who is responsible for oversight and ownership of the General Accounting and Financial Reporting functions. The Finance Manager responsible for implementing and maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, balance sheet, and other financial results in accordance with GAAP.
Post journal entries, reconcile bank statements and balance sheets, and post transactions to General Ledger, including revenue, receipts and payroll.
Assist in the month end closing process.
Prepare and maintain all income tax support schedules necessary for the preparation of the federal and state income tax provisions and returns.
Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and be proactive in implementing such improvements.
Work directly with independent CPA firm to complete yearly financial audit and tax returns.
Calculate sales commissions, ensuring commissions are calculated in accordance with the terms of each commission program.
Prepare multi-state sales and use tax returns and provide audit information.
Manage banking online access including purchase of foreign currencies and performing wire transfer transactions.
Financial administration of 401k plan, including annual compliance testing
Manage finance personnel. This will include but not limited to assisting with the employee development assessments, interview potential new hire candidates and make hiring recommendations, involvement with initiating disciplinary actions and counsel employees when required, for the finance department.
Provide support to payroll administration.
Provide assistance to the Vice President of Finance and Treasurer.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of finance and accounting principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Knowledge of SAP preferred
Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to perform vlookups and create pivot tables
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
ADP Payroll processing experience
Attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and quality to minimize risk of errors
Knowledge of federal and state financial regulation preferred
Soft Skills:
Ability to exercise sound judgment in evaluating situations and in making decisions
Good planning and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, adapt to changing environment
Strong business-minded consultative approach
Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train.
Ability to establish credibility and working relationships with all levels of the company.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to maintain confidentiality of company information.

REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics is required. Recent graduates will need to provide a copy of their transcript as part of the interview and screening process.
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible accounting/finance experience.
