Product Support Specialist

BROAD FUNCTION:
Assist product marketing in developing, implementing and maintaining innovative strategic plans for assigned product lines. Work closely with members of the marketing department, repair and service group, sales and applications support to ensure continuity in product offering, technical support and technical evaluations to meet business line goals. This position will adhere to and promote INFICONs values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team leader and supports the continued growth of the company and the assigned product lines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide first class product support to both internal and external stakeholders of INFICON's sensor technology and control product group.
Manage and communicate relevant product changes and all relevant materials (sales, product changes, etc.), both internally and externally. Maintain open communication between all necessary personnel.
Manage/update SAP master information to assigned product lines.
Regularly aid in performing pricing and competitive analysis by customer channel and recommend approaches to improve market position, improve quality and reduce costs. Maintain current knowledge of all pricing and sales procedures and understand order priority and lead time.
Provide technical support, on an as needed basis, to internal and external customers. Establish appropriate training guidelines and present training material in the most effective manner.
Assist in the production of operating/service manuals and other technical support documentation. Provide updated material for accurate application and service training.
Perform software and hardware testing support for assigned products.
Support communication and advertising efforts to include marketing materials (brochures, trade shows, manuals, etc.), web-based promotional material, trade show support, and other related endeavors.
Required travel approximately 10% (including some international).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 1-2 year experience in a customer support or applications support role.
Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Interdisciplinary Engineering and Management, Physics or Chemistry required. Recent graduates will need to provide a copy of their transcript as part of the interview and screening process.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in quadrupole mass spectrometry, SAP, Quality Function Deployment practices.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
