BROAD FUNCTION:
Successful candidate will help create & use analytical tools to assess/monitor the health & performance of our supply base. Work directly with internal teams to support NPI, production and engineering requirements.
Responsibilities:
Negotiates best price and terms for responsible suppliers.
Perform evaluations as required to confirm process control and capabilities, quality systems, capacity needs and lean manufacturing expectations. Ensure there is a robust corrective action and follow up process.
Participate on new product introduction and/or acquisition teams.
Coordinate the involvement of suppliers and standardize the use of early supplier involvement tools.
Manage supplier quality issues.
Strategically select and optimize supply base.
Generate and monitor supplier scorecard performance. Use data to drive decisions.
Accountable for managing projects which will deliver annual cost savings, improve supplier on time delivery and ensure a consistent high quality of materials. Expected to work with suppliers to promote Lean Six Sigma tools and processes.
REQUIRED
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree required. Prefer in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering. Recent graduates will need to provide a copy of their transcript as part of the interview and screening process.
A minimum of four to six years of commodity management experience, preferably in related field.
Knowledge of FAI, FMEA, DFM required.
Creative problem solving and analytical skills required.
Travel: 15-30% approximately.
PREFERRED
Qualifications:
SAP and MRP experience.
Commodity management in Electro-Mechanical assemblies, Ceramics, Cables and/or Precision machining/sheet metal.
Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing & ISO Audit experience.
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
